Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • real head scratcher this year i cant see the likes of brain power, sceau royal, MWTT or ballyandy winning an arkle. Petit Mouchoir i could not back until he makes a nice reappearance and by that time i think we will have a solid stand out favourite. For me, i think Finians Oscar needs backing for the race and will keep an eye on whatever mullins chucks down the novice 2m route. Undecided on River Wylde.

Correct - Finians Oscar needs backing for this race

      • Chacun Pour Soi for Willie Mullins / Rich Ritchie is the one for me at this stage , solely on fact of connections track record plus Rich named Chacun as horse that excites him.

Found comment telling as he could and probably should have named another horse , rather than add hype to this french import. Not convinced about trip though , he may be better at 2 mile and a half , but at 20/1 worth a punt.

Same race that Charbel took last year.

The Arkle is crying out for a stand out performance (PM was good but unsure if he will now make it). So hopefully, River Wylde can provide this...

Tricky little race that, a couple of nice horses running after a break, I will be interested to see how they price it up as it's a potential banana skin. I will be impressed if he manages to win this in a canter

I look at it and can't see him being beat tbh.

                      • Henderson has said in his stalbe tour about how he thinks river wylde could step up in trip this season. I remember he dais similar about BvD too. Might be nothing in though.

Yes I noticed this when it first came out.

He has Brain Power, would he run both in the Arkle?

I think he'd have at least a couple of runners in each by the end of the season.... so probably, as long as different owners.... but it'd stop me getting to excited about a bet on River Wylde for this race, although I have backed River Wylde and DO expect him to run here.

                            • Well, for me, that was as neat and as tidy as you're likely to see from a debutant novice chaser. Nice opener for River Wylde there.

                              • I think he jumped really well (although that isn't something I'd be an expert on!) and apart from that, being pushed out to win Hell's Kitchen is nice, nothing special though.

He's been clipped to 16s most places but some have stood at 20... best work at the end? I think he MIGHT end up being tried over further?
