Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Not exactly a fancy but have a little ew on Simply the betts in the Supreme, I know the trainer thinks he's come on a lot from his last race and reckons he has him primed for a big run, and he's currently around 33's

      • Starting to really hate this anti post betting, as I normally bet one one in a race I think next year I will just back NRNB, the bookies seems to be chasing after your money earlier & earlier and I sure next year will be the same.

I know I will miss out of some bigger prices but personally I would be ok with taking a shorter price and getting my money if it's a non runner, then I can go back to the drawing board without much damage to my pocket.

        • I'm thinking along the same lines Sir, but there again after last year I was as well, and the year before! It doesn't help neither when you belong to a forum like this, it's very easy to be carried along on the roller coaster when people put up fancies! The last few days have been bad but not disasterous....but there is still time.

          • Anyone fancy First Flow for the supreme . Ground should suit . Strong pace will suit .unbeaten over hurdles. They must fancy his chances now the ground will have some juice In as he was meant to skip the fest. Suppose to have an engine

I’ve been looking at him today. If it ends up heavy ground I think he must have a chance.

I think even if it's soft he would do well. Some nice form in there.

                • Anyone called Sam?

You could have a Samcro/Sam Spinner/Last Samuri trixie at 82/1

That of course, is stupid... but I am warming very much to Sam Spinner.... on to the stayers hurdle thread I go...

I think it's a case by case basis though and the luck of the draw. 2 years ago FAUGHEEN and a couple of others wrecked my ante post but it came right in the week.

Last year I did none but then I had a shocker - but of the meagre winners I had all I'd turned down bigger ante post prices for.

So I think there's still a place for it. But then again I'm a pretty small stakes punter and I'd be trying to only back 4 points in a race, so if one horse was ruled out it would hurt but it's not the end of the world.

Using for free bets for multiples has been a big boost this year I must add. Owe a lot to this forum for picking up on that!

                    • Not sure this will appeal to anyone, but just to flag that Bet365 have total winning distances under 100 at 11/8:

And Sunbets has over 95 at 5/4:

So if you put the same stake on both you can guarantee a minimum 12.5% profit and if the final result is between 95-100 (bearing in mind the mid-point is likely around 100 so a possibility) then you would have just under 160% profit. If it wasn't the week before the Festival and I had more funds available I would probably do this.

Not sure how much they will let you have especially Sunbets but it is a short price so hopefully a few quid.

haha...I'm still working on my reading of horse form so this is my contribution to the forum.

I'm sure those with experience of these type of plays know this, but for anyone else do bear in mind that in order for this to pay you need to be able to place the same stake on both. So don't going putting a grand on with Bet365 to find out that Sunbets will only let you have 20 quid. I normally go up in increments, and suggest placing with Sunbets first as I imagine they are most likely to restrict first
