Cause of Causes - Cross Country 4/1
    Supasundae - Stayers 6/1
    Apples Shakira - Triumph 3/1
I have the very same problem

Like those at the odds. Would give me some nice cover on OTBS too who I'm pretty smitten with.

Even the two shortest prices there would return a profit.

      • Alright guys, came across the forum around 2/3 weeks ago and have been on every day since. Just finally signed up. Been loving reading everyone's opinions there really are some very knowledgeable people on here which has made fora great read with all the differences in opinion creating interesting discussion rather than people trying to get on over on each other or arguing like little kids.

I dont usually back horses throughout the season apart from the odd ones here and there, used to prefer the flat but then about 6 years ago my mate asked me to book a few days off to watch the festival with a few beers and bets at the pub and i since then we have done the same every year and i look forward to that week more than anything else!

Me and mate just put £15 a week on the football or horses and whatever we return goes into the pot for cheltenham betting, and every year so far we have come out of the festival with a decent profit, which is always a nice bonus! 2016 being the best year so far, although last year was great too.

Anyway i dont want to waffle on but just thought id say hi and introduce myself as im getting a bit excited now we are getting closer to knowing the possible runners etc. I dont claim to know a ton about the horses but im getting there and this year in particular partly dont to this forum I have found myself watching a ridiculous amount of races from the past couple months on the sporting life website and looking for news articles, watching races on the weekends and setting reminders on my phone for when horses iv kept my eye on might be having a run out.

Think i might be getting a bit obsessed with it haha but loving every minute of it!

But yeh sorry to write such a long message i will put up some of my ante-post bets so far, already a fair few on, maybe a few too many speculative multiples and all the free bets i get are going on too.

        Cheers
        MC

                    • Cheers guys, top lads arnt you.

I think my ante-post bets are gonna look a bit boring compared to most as there are a lot of faves in there. But I'm pretty confident on Footpad, Samcro, BD, Apples Jade (in either race) Apples Shak and Might Bite. They are the ones alot of my accas are based around.

Really like my Samcro, Apples Shak, BD, Footpad acca at 61/1

Samcro, Apples S, Might Bite 71/1 treble

                      Presenting percy/ Coc double 44/1

Got a few more accas n doubles but need samcro n apples shak for alot of bets at this stage but im sticking by what i have seen and read of them so far and not tempted to swerve away

                        • Think my best ante post bets are:-

                          Apples Shakira at 16s (triumph)
Road to respect at 25s (gold cup)
                          Min at 10s (champ chase)

                          • Does anyone know when Paul Nicholls is going to run Peak to Peak again...ran 3rd behind Court Minstrel and Sam Spinner lto & finished ahead of Subsequent winners Louis Vac Pouch, Old Guard and Bags Groove in the Silver Trophy.....is he keeping his mark tidy for one of the handicaps at Chelt???

I do not think the horse is there to win but rather get a sighter of the course as Gordon likes to do with some of his horses at this meeting (he also has Fagan entered in a chase). Now, connecting the owner into the theory and it would not surprise me if this horse ended up in the Coral Cup or Pertemps (owner has won the last two renewals) come March.

It's a speculative theory but could have substance...
Skybet have quoted IAG at 10/1 NRNB/BOG for the Pertemps - maybe not so left field after all JackieMoon33!

                              • Given the record held by Irish trainers of hiding the true ability of their handicap horses it's no wonder the bookies will offer very little value, every chance that horse should either be 7/4 or 100/1....
