Wondeful Charm is a very interesting runner. In 2014 he went off fav to beat Don Cossack over 2m4f.

Joint fav on Betfair.... Each way saver material at the price? I have PLENTY likely to be rolling on to OTF and my confidence is waining

Does anyone know if Wonderful Charm has qualified for this yet?
From what I can see (and I may well be missing something) horses need to have come 1st or 2nd in two Hunter Chases..
Still time for another run, but it looks as though WC would need to run again and finish in the top ..

I am sure you are right,Wonderful Charm would need to finish first or second in another HC race. Before Feb 28th
My understanding is that Phil "smug" smith has two wild cards if he chooses to use them

Black Thunder the Waley Cohens's have had their eye on this race for a while. Could represent some value, the jockey has won a Gold Cup, as good as Codd is, never in a million.

                What are you expecting Ista?

Personally, I think OTF will be well beaten by Foxrock ( and possibly a few others) but doubt he'll drift much, if at all, in the Foxhunters betting.

                  I agree FM.
I want him to settle, travel and jump but show promise without Jamie being too hard on him, I don't want to see him off the bridle a mile out neither do I want to see Jamie getting after him too much.

Hadn't realised just how many patents, trixies and yankees I have this one in....

I just want to see him spin around and come back safe. Winning or losing today isnt an issue. Its Cheltenham that Enda will have him primed for.

I'm in a similar boat with OTF involved in a fair few multis/yankees etc.

Personally i'm not worried what happens today as long as the horse gets round in one piece. This race last year was arguably his worst run of his career (24 lengths back in 7th never looking like getting involved) and actually put a few doubts in my mind in regards to Cheltenham - 1. whether the triple festival wins in 2015 had could leave a mark and 2. he needed Nina onboard (as much as i'm a huge fan of Codd). Both worries were put to rest come March.

A similar or worse run again this year wouldn't worry me so much

                        Easy.

                        Anyone got any negatives there?

Couldn't have been better. I think they probably knew they had to have him fitter this year as he only just won at Cheltenham last season and improved loads between then and Aintree.

Jamie Codd gave him an absolute peach of a ride. I bet he comes on nicely for that. Topped up at 3/1.
