Saturnas looks a solid bet whichever race he takes in @20/1 NRNB
Im expecting a massive run in the Deloitte this weekend. As soon as he won his last race WM said he would put him up to 2.2m with a view to 2.5m at cheltenham. Ive taken a price for the supreme as well because Deloitte winners often go to the supreme.
FYI DW - I've backed all Wicklow Bloodstock horses blind when entered in the last 3 seasons and can't complain about the results...
Arctic Fire 14/1 - 2nd in County Hurdle 2014
Arctic Fire 33/1 - 2nd in CH 2015
Wicklow Brave 33/1 - 1st in County 2015
No runners in 2016
Guarantee MDO would be running in the Albert Bartlett if it wasn't for Wholestone.
Challow Hurdlers have a terrible record in this race much like Feltham winners have a shocking record in the RSA because you need a speed horse to win one and a stayer to win the other.
If Might Bite wins the RSA will you still hold that view? (Wrong thread I know)
MDO was workmanlike time before this and probably isn't good enough in a normal year ... would have needed to make a big step forward today and didn't. Not good enough to win any race at any festival imo this year.

I'm still reeling from Robin Roe.
Well knowing that and how much pace he showed in the Feltham, do you think he can win an RSA?
His stand out performance as a hurdler and a chaser came at Kempton Park.

I think he can win yeh. Coneygree had enough pace to win a Feltham and wona Gold Cup. I was just asking IF Might Bite won, would you start to change your opinion on the Feltham as a race that could throw up an RSA winner?

Coneygree's test was the Feltham because it is a speed favouring track. He was always going to come into his own at Cheltenham being the strong stayer he is.
No I won't be changing my opinion on that stat. Some stats are totally meaningless but this one makes sense. See the raft of quality horses that have won a Feltham but then not followed up in the RSA.

Coneygree faced a bigger test in the Feltham than the Gold Cup? I can understand you think he is more suited to Cheltenham than Kempton, but it would be crazy to say the Feltham was more of a test?
I think you'd be mental to rule out Might Bite because Coneygree ran in the Gold Cup rather than the Feltham. If Coneygree had ran in the Feltham, he would have won it (I assume we can agree on that) so as a stat it seems flawed? I am not saying it shouldn't be looked at, or that Might Bite is anywhere near as good as Coneygree ... I suppose when the Feltham moves the stat will become irrelevant anyway, so good luck with it for the next few years

I made no reference to the quality of opposition. The point I was making was Coneygree was always going to be more suited to Cheltenham than Kempton so he did really well to win the Feltham (and win it by a mile). I think you were getting mixed up with your previous point (he won the Feltham/didn't run in the RSA). I didn't rule Might Bite out, my point is he is a far more unlikely winner than his odds suggest.
What is his Cheltenham record compared with his Kempton record?
