If RSA is the target for Might Bite then I agree he is an obvious contender for this....

Are we adding Might Bite to the other 3?
Moon Racer - Supreme 6/1
Gods Own - CC 20/1
Defi Du Seuil - Triumph 6/1
That would be my ONLY worry with that one, but I personally think that he will run in the Triumph.

I was thinking the same thing this morning Leman, but then thought that it could be Charli Parcs they send for the Supreme with JP McManus already having DDS and LOHAG.
Im looking forward to this renewal of Supreme anyway. Could be a lot of value, especially doubling up with altior

Are we actually playing for places or chancing nice price winners? Because I don't think Gods Own has a chance in hell if Douvan stays on his feet. Though 5/1 is fair for a place.
If this is the case then you guys mentioned 16/1 for Djakadam could be worthy place money.Last edited by loveracing; 5 January 2017, 01:15 PM.

Either really... people can put suggestions forward at bigger prices that only "look" like placing, or they can go for the shorter prices with a more "obvious" win chance.... On Friday in the early hours I will put the final selections forward... based entirely on what people have said in here....

Douvan is clearly a class act and will probably win with his head in his chest, but, Gods Own is a much improve horse, thrives in Spring and the quicker the ground the better, IF conditions favoured Gods Own he could give the fav a fright.
20/1 is an insulting price in my book as I make him best of the rest...

Right... decision time for the EACH WAY YANKEE
I feel like we shouldn't be scared of 'one horse' because of the nature of the sport and in light of this, I've decided we'll dream big and go for double figure prices from the selections that we had... (Means horses like Moon Racer, Native River, UDS, Defi du Seuil have missed out more on price than anything else!)
The horses I've picked are:
Might Bite 12/1
Gods Own 20/1
Ballyoptic 16/1 (20 in a place)
Djakadam 14/1 (16 in a place)
Now Betfair are best priced at 78896/1 but they're 1/5 the odds in all the races.
I'll work off a £1 stake per line for now (£22.00 staked), best case scenario is a return of £100,419.06 when they all win
Just looking at the 'places', we would need 3 to place (12/1, 16/1, 16/1) to see a return of £106.18. All 4 would be £696.06
£14.28, £17.00, or £17.64 or £21.00 if just two place, so a very small loss. Obviously nothing if we get 1 or less
Back to thinking 'bigger' and a couple of winners and it is a minimum of £235 return, 3 winners a minimum of £4595 and so on.... STRANGER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED?!
Thanks everyone for the input, really really enjoyed this and good luck!?!Last edited by Kevloaf; 7 January 2017, 01:50 AM.

I'm loving the prices on this Yankee, my only issue would be does gods own go in the champion chase or are th owners tempted for a crack at the Ryan air, they seem to be certain he will be effective at the trip, the one I'd be tempted to replace him with at the same price is cliffs of Dover in the triumph hurdle, last time I hear Paul Nicholls talk about the horse he said absolutely nothing lives with him up the gallops and he regularly goes out with Irving and just canters all over him, a very fast horse and definitely going for the triumph

I know apologies, unfortunately I haven't really been able to get on here recently but still been able to follow the racing, now I've got some time again hopefully to talk, debate and speculate about the greatest show on turf, sorry I meant on earth!!
