Very interesting that today on RUK Ruby mentioned VVM for the Mares "She'll need to improve on that (Doncaster run) in the Mares".
He also said on The Opening Show that he thinks she'll "go to the mares because it is the race she'd have the best chance of winning" because "I want to ride as many winners as I can".
Patrick Mullins on the RP CC podcast also said VVM "Obviously, I'd imagine she goes for the mares, I don't see why she'd go for the Champion Chase"
HOWEVER, PP are 2/1 (Betunfair are 9/4 same company) which is biggest price, and they're shortest for Limini at 7/2 who is also shortening on the exchanges.....
Are we about to be put away? Is something amiss? Am I reading too much in to it? - All signs lead to her defending her crown in this, but the markets aren't backing that up. In fact AJ has shortened?
On Apples JAde actually, does anyone fancy her to win this, or on at a nice price? - WIll be a horror show for me if AJ wins this, having backed her for the CH and Stayers already and with ante-post bets on VVM and Limini!

FWIW I am in the Apples Jade camp at this stage also.

I backed Apples's Jade thinking VVM would be in the stayers and thought I was being smart. If VVM faced AJ in this though I think VVM will gain revenge for Fairyhouse. All talk of VVM for stayers seemed to go completely dead after Shaneshill's win, probably because that will now be Ruby's ride and we know how much sway he has.

If AJ beats Limini and its close, does that all but confirm VVM for the Mares?
Will connections of Limini/VVM let us know which one is being aimed where?
If I had to guess now, which I don't, I would say that Limini beating AJ would divert VVM to the CH, for Ruby to ride. I think Mullins and Walsh will want to continue their stranglehold on the race and VVM will run unless AJ is decisively beaten by Limini.
I imagine AJ is favourite for tomorrows race, so if AJ beats Limini, they'll get a sighter and any significant market support over the next few weeks for VVM I would take as a positive.
I will LOSE if AJ wins the Mares Hurdle... I have backed her in the CH and don't want to go in again to recover those 'losses'.
Ideal for me, would be AJ to slam limini and go for the CH
All speculation which should get cleared up by tomorrow afternoon, although I won't hold me breath

I am SO happy with that result.
AJ is winning NOTHING at the festival.... unlucky Gigginstown. That is EXACTLY why you don't take a horse away from Mullins.
Limini or VVM absolute banker material, whichever turns up.
Now that Limini has AJ covered, might as well let VVM have a go in the CH?

I really like Limini, but I had so many issues with her today pre-race. Distance, ground, opponent!

***edit - actually reading back my post yesterday makes sense .... the comment about AJ slamming limini is just in the hope she went CH so I could lay off my stakeLast edited by Kevloaf; 22 February 2017, 02:51 PM.
