  • Not for me either. I've backed Zealander in this at 150+ on the exchanges. Hoping he'll show something tomorrow.

More chance in this than the Champion Hurdle, regardless of the age. I am just pleased that I might have got the target right, I'm not holding a ticket on her

Your typo has just cost me 5 minutes
Just been trawling around about to follow you in blind on a horse I never heard of!

Very interesting race tomorrow that one, I am a little surprised about the support for Mister Miyagi, I think the fitness/Skelton thing might be over played...

          • Ultimately, I want to have my opinions and bet on them, and if I am not losing more money than I can afford over a long period I am going to be content at it. (I am sure people make more money on here than I do, however I am happy and fortunate to have been making what I consider a lovely profit since 1st Jan 2015, when I started recording every bet I made).
I may start rethinking my position on multiple runners in a race. Just a change of mindset really. Take the JLT right now. I'm quite string on Yorkhill if he goes down that route in singles and an Altior double. I also want to get Barters Hill onside for the race but have been holding back. I know I can back him for any race but the JLT odds are very tempting. Thinking more about it now I think it's actually a case of me not wanting to write off a bet. I know that both can't win so one of those bets will go down - and thats the part i don't like. I really shouldn't have that outlook though as as long as one comes in - i'll be well in.
It's not like all my antepost bets are going to come in anyway!!

There should be a betting strategy thread somewhere ...
Would love a betting strategy thread - I know I could learn a lot from posters on here... +1 on that vote

            • I struggle to only find 1 with a chance and if I had backed a horse that went off bigger than SP, I wouldn't want to miss 'the winner' because I'd already 'lost' a bet...

Now looks like I was wrong on both accounts regarding Apples Jade's target so I'll have to learn from that!!! Didn't think Gigginstown would mess around with the mares race, but it being a Grade 1 now it must have changed peoples minds?!

Very true. I'm definitely more open now to covering a few horses in a race going forward.

I've seen a few mentions about giving up chasing with More of That and going back down this route. I think the horse is a no bet for anything right now. Looks to have fallen out of love with the game and finds very little if anything at the business end of races. To me it seems like he's gone through the pain barrier too many times now. Add in his multiple wind issues and he's a shadow of the horse who was able to give Annie Power 7lbs and a beating!!

                • Jonjo 'bemused' is the headline... certainly not positive vibes. Not mad keen on Jonjo to be honest.. always seems to be out of form.

                  • Can't say i'm a fan either. Just feel like there's way too much 'in the know' with that yard.

                      • I took the 38s on offer for VVM on the exchanges for this just in case. Shes best priced 10s on the sports book. Will be keeping this mare onside wherever she ends up

                        • Can't knock that thinking at all KingSprinterSacre. Wouldn't take a lot for her to be the standout fav for this race would it!

She would have run in the World Hurdle if Faugheen wouldn't have been injured, because Annie was likely to go for the Mares race and I think they'd have given her a shot... stays well enough...

                          • Before today's race I was considering backing lil rockafella for the WH as I quite fancy this horse.. Obviously already holding a nice voucher for yanworth I couldn't of asked for a better result today.. LRF was race fit and yanworth got to him In the end.. Give me odds that them 2 or 1st and 2nd come March..

                            • Long Walk Hurdle is the target isn't ot for Yanworth. Great to have an actual 'confirmed' target... certainly a horse with the potential to improve for a step up. Needed every yard to get past LRF and LRF is surely better further too?

                              I'd give you 1000/1 max bet 10p

                              • Just look at the horses LRF has had behind him this year and his form is worthy of a WH bet in its own right. But I think if today race was over 3m yanworth would of won by a lot further which to me just proves how good he is. With rich ricci saying Annie worked awful in the week and faugheen has a bruised foot, it's not a given that one of them turns up anyway
