Owner is an extremely passionate NH man, I met him a few years ago and he is just incredibly positive about the horse.
As I remember he had a horse once before and this was just his second venture in ownership, he would much rather his horse finish 3rd in a Gold Cup than win a Kim Muir.
He loves the track and always improves a few pound for it, and after his run in the Denman you'd have to say that he has every right to take his chance, and if I owned a horse like TGB I'd be the same, give me the thrill of a great run in the best race in the world....

He wont finish 3rd in a Gold Cup though. The owners are lucky to have him and its their right to run him wherever he wants.

If he was mine Id rather retire him on back of a Kim Muir win than down the field in a deep gold cup. He would get some reception.

                    Don't disagree tbh MG

If he was my horse Id be doing the exact same. Not many owners can boast a 2nd, 3rd and fourth in a Gold Cup.

                      Our Father

Everyone knows about Our Father. He seems to run well fresh so he'll be going straight for the Kim Muir. If he'd have got in the Grand National we'd have gone straight there. He's still owned by the Johnsons and Irvines that obviously still have a lot of horses with the Pipes, they wanted to give him a change of scenery. Obviously I'm good friends with David and everyone so it's better that he comes to me than go somewhere else I suppose. He's had his fair share of problems and David's done a wonderful job with him. I wouldn't dream for a second that we could improve one from the Pipes, but I think he's good fresh and he's just down to a mark now that can see him do well in the Kim Muir. Nina Carberry's going to ride him all being well and that will be a massive help. He works very very well, but he's probably always done that judging by the prices he's been going off in his races. He's fit and he's well and he's in good form.

                        Cause Of Causes

He's been some horse for us. He's won the Ladbroke, been second in a Galway Hurdle, he was just beaten in the Kim Muir and probably would've won that had he jumped the last and he won the four-miler. He'll either go for the Ultima Business Solutions Handicap Chase or the Kim Muir. We're thrilled with him. This morning he was pulling the arms out of Jamie Codd. I'd love to go for the Kim Muir with Jamie riding him. On good ground he's very good, the Kim Muir will suit him. We know he's been there twice and he likes the place.

May have found a little clue in this field...

GUESS AGAIN. Currently at 33's with PP and Boylesport, as short as 14's with some other bookies. Ran in this race last year and was travelling reasonably strongly behind the leading pack before falling 4 out. Hasn't been seen since coming 3rd behind Misty Lady at Gowan Park in October... Trainer Tony Martin seems to have a knack for getting his horses ready for particular races...

Does he strike again with Guess Again? I'm certainly going to have a bit EW on it in a wide open race!

Added Broadway Buffalo for this at 20/1 nrnb. I've no idea if this is his target but he's got previous festival form and loves spring ground.

JKite - great call with Guess Again - I wish I'd followed you in at 33/1.
