        • I'm afraid some of those selections don't look like running in those races, especially yanworth in the supreme and saphir du rheu in the gold cup

            Hence the Clint Eastwood reference

Just copied them all over, rather than pick the good stuff out.

I'm only a smaller stakes punter, so it's half the fun trying to guess right, and nick a good price.

            • The two best ones you've got there for me are Vroum Vroum Mag in the ryan air at 14/1 and more of that is a great one at 16/1 in the RSA

The Moon Racer was put on right after the festival last year, so had a decent sweat for a while, even though I'll not be getting them all running.

First day accumulator is a decent price, because I did it when Min was still about 6/1.

Just over a month, and I'll be watching the morning line from my hottub

Definitely agree, and looking more likely to get a run from VVM, after Thistlecrack's demolition job last weekend.

                  • 2 horses I really liked last season are running in the 4:30 at musselburgh tomorrow in the shape of Cup Final and Call The Cops both for nicky henderson, theres also another horse in the race that i really liked In his 2nd season hurdling last year and putting up a good show at the festival last year in Taglietelle but has lost his way since, has there been any mootings about these especially the henderson pair heading to the festival with a target in mind

                    • From looking good to now looking dodgy my ante post bets have taken a blow with the defeats of Shaneshill, Bellshill and Road To Riches.Funny how this game can be a real head scratcher at times.

                      • Same here, the disappointment of Shaneshill, Bellshill and up for review have definitely concerned me about my ante post bets, the fall of djakadam has not concerned me too much but he is in a lot of my multiples and going into the Gold cup of a back of a fall isn't ideal but i still have faith in him

                        • The last two weeks have been pretty disastrous for my ante post books too. Peace & Co, Bellshill, Shantou Village, Ivanovich Gorbatov, and Shaneshill have all been turned over at short(ish) odds. It's far from ideal heading to the festival on the back of those poor performances.

                          • Peace and Co is an enigma for me but could it be he won a poor renewal of the Triumph ?
Only Old Guard appears to have improved since and wins are few and far between for them all.

                            • In hindsight it looks to have been a poor Triumph. To add salt to the wound, I've also backed Hargam in the Champion Hurdle.

                              • I don't think Bellshill is a lost cause, Ruby made sure he didn't do much above a racecourse gallop, he accepted the situation as soon as the other two went past. RTR is another matter, he looked cooked after the last, the ground really took it out of all of those up front with only Valseur Lido travelling well, so that can't be an ideal prep with only 5 weeks to go. The last few weeks have made the prep runs very hard to assess because of continuing attritional conditions, I think some of those that are being written off will provide far better value than would otherwise have been the case, likewise some that are currently attracting money will disappoint on better ground, assuming we get that.
