It's true they all say that Coneygree needs soft ground, but he has won and performed well on good to soft ground, i believe the only reason they dont run him on real good ground is because how delicate a horse that Coneygree is, i think he could perform on ground that is leaning more to good than soft, but either way i can only see soft in the going come the festival in march again

Vatour and Don Poli are genuine Gold Cup contenders and Don Cossack could stay too, I'd love to see that four line up and when you throw in last seasons 2nd and 3rd you have probably the strongest field in years.

Have to be happy with that start to the season for Don Poli. Saddle slipped on final circuit and was up against Many Clouds who'd already had a run into him. Still hits that lazy spot but if he's within touching distance of the leaders in March at the bottom of the hill, you'd be a brave man to not fancy him.
