    UDS and Faugheen - double
    Douvan/UDS/Faugheen - Trixie
    Douvan/UDS/Faugheen/AP - Yankee
    Mullins CH - Tricast
    Pendra - Lost
    Perfect Gentleman - 4th
    Irish Cav @20's
I had AP to fill a treble, and an acca, and would have had another 4fold going onto Vautour in the JLT

My fault, for being lazy, and not setting an in running lay on Annie...

Was also on Pendra/Gallant Oscar at 14s, and Perfect Gent at 20s.

Dinner, early night, same again tomorrow

Douvan and Druids Nephew especially, made this a good day. Shaneshill, Grand Jesture and Polly Peachum all obliged e/w and I got the forecast in the first. A sneaky wee e/w on Cause of Causes also helped. Thomas Crapper, Shaneshill and Druids in e/w acca's that are still going. Crapper winning, and Annie staying on her feet for my acca, would have made this the best opening day of Cheltenham EVER.

Glad to see Annie come home safe and sound. Hope we all have similar joy tomorrow. Hoping for Windsor Park, Don Poli and SDG to do the business.

Won £1,050 on the first day with the Mullins treble. Delighted to have had the foresight to leave Annie Power out.

Looking to do more damage with Nichols Canyon, Champagne Fever and Don Poli today.

Today I'll be looking to spend my money in style. I'm thinking a KFC family bucket (just for me), a Wii U and a can of Red Bull. The big overpriced can at like £2.50.

        Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, Ruby!!!!

Nice first day LR, well done, for me I needed Faugheen to win to make the fez a good one, so job done, I can relax and enjoy the rest now.
Stephen I see you're going for Nicholls Canyon, and with the connections it's easy to see why, I was looking through the form for this race though and he doesn't seem to have much experience over this trip, most of his runs, and all of his winning, have been at shorter distances, is that a worry? I ask because I'm drawn to him based on the Mullins/Walsh angle but the trip worry is putting me off, I'm leaning towards Parlour Games who seems to have improved a huge amount for the step up in distance, maybe a saver on Vyta du Roc,

Well done winners. A but up on the day and some good accas still in play.

To be fair, I think making all in the Deloitte is a great trial in itself for the Neptune. I know that a lot of good Irish judges are fawning over Windsor Park and the way he finished that race, but he always starts slowly and I think that Ruby will make him pay.

I'd take a match bet that the Irish novice hurdlers will thump the English in this race. Can't have Parlour Games or Henderson's.

A quite like the look of Lac Fontana @20\1 for the Coral Cup.
He has festival form beating the yesterdays most impressive Arctic Fire last year. With bowen on board claiming 5lbs Increases his chances.

Sorry posted this in wrong thread.
