Yes I think it will and if it is genuine good ground that will surely inconvenience Coneygree as well.

    • Trouble is DP looks bulletproof, got to stay ew.

Yes I think DP does look bullet proof. I just thought ST looks sure to place on good ground and there is this horrible stat about horses that haven't run in the calendar year in the RSA, which makes sense given it is a race you want a horse with plenty of chasing experience.

        • A lot of the contenders have track ans some have festival form

          Southfield Theatre
          The Young Master
          Coneygree
          Kings Palace
          Don Poli or Very Wood

all to various degrees. It could be a deep race.

          • I really want to see Coneygree here, and if he shows up he wins leading home Don Poli who I'm very much out to get beat!

              • Happy to see Very Wood running here. Got me fiver on at 55/1 on Betfair

Mind you i do quite fancy Southfield Theatre in this-Fez form, likes chelts and PFN tipping him up left right and chelsea. A small e/w for me.

                    RSA

In spite of just two public opportunities, to my eyes Don Poli is the most impressive staying novice I've seen all year.

His strongest suit is stamina. It won the day in the Martin Pipe at last year's Festival. It made the difference again at Leopardstown where he took the step up to Grade 1 in the Topaz Oil after Christmas. It will be a big asset in what is traditionally one of the most attritional skirmishes of the four days.

His jumping has been mustard too. Six, lightly-raced andunbeaten in five of his last six runs, he is still open to bags of improvement. Talk readily extends to prospects for Gold Cup 2016. Parallels with Sir Des Champs are obvious. Don Poli should win, with price the only downside.

                    Selection: Don Poli

                    • I can't remember which audio it was but I heard that Pipe told Cooper "Kings Palace" won't get beat.

I've heard that quote too LR, I posted regarding the confidence of connections, doesn't always pan out though, I hope they're right in this case but the RSA is looking like a hot race now DP and VW coming here, I expected DP to go 4 miler

If I was on KP I would desperately be hoping Coneygree runs in the Gold Cup because there will only be one horse front running and it won't be Kings Palace.

                            • Great ride from Coops on Don Poli, made the horse's mind up for him when he tried to back off, excellent stuff
