That was Ok from Monksland and he will be better in March. Meades are running well this year.

Something is a miss with Briar Hill. Maybe the fall in Albert Bartlett has left its mark.

                  Tom Scudamore

n the Cleeve Hurdle I’m looking forward to riding Un Temps Pour Tout. He was Timeform’s top rated English novice last year which tells you what level he showed. He beat Cole Harden on the bridle at Ascot. Cole Harden might have improved or might not have been on a going day but that form from that race has worked out very well. The horses behind him all came out and won. That day he was very, very good and his run at Punchestown under top weight was superb. He nearly got back up for second. He’d had the problem before Cheltenham which meant he missed the Festival so probably wasn’t at his very best at Punchestown either. He seems in really good form at home. I sat on him just the other day. He has to do the talking on Saturday but last year he looked one of the potential stars.

He hasn’t run until now as he didn’t have a break after coming over from France last season. He was on the go for a long time. It’s been a long break since Punchestown but he seems in great order. I’m just really looking forward to taking on the big boys with him as he’s one horse that looks like he has a lot of potential.

Need a jockey for Zakandar ?

Noel on Rock on Ruby - I imagine Sam will pick Saphir de Rheu. Nicholls said after the race he can get him a lot better.

                      Cleeve hurdle video http://www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/video...75714/14646786

proved in the Cleeve Hurdle as the Andy Stewart-owned Saphir Du Rheu "did a Big Buck's" by compensating for an aborted chasing career with victory in yesterday's premier World Hurdle trial.

It must have been a case of deja vu for Sam Twiston-Davies as he tracked the relentless stayer Reve De Sivola over the last. Sam had pounced too soon on Zarkandar against the same rival at Ascot before Christmas, but held on to Saphir Du Rheu for as long as he dared before just getting the better of a mercifully less sustained duel than down in Berkshire last month.

History could potentially repeat itself once again as Paul Nicholls is inclined (as he did with Big Buck's) to leave Saphir Du Rheu over hurdles for now.

"I will talk to Andy (Stewart) but I think we will stay over hurdles with him this year now. I see him very much as a chaser, to be honest, but we can go back over fences any time and I'd say after that, it won't be this season."

So World Hurdle likely next stop, for which the six-year-old is generally second favourite now behind reigning champion More Of That (from whom we have seen less of that) for the Day Three feature.

Pipe also said Un Temps Pour Tout, third in Saturday's Cleeve Hurdle won by Saphir Du Rheu, remains on course for the Ladbrokes World Hurdle.

"He is fully entitled to improve for the run and that has to offer encouragement that he holds viable claims in the World Hurdle," said Pipe, who added the six-year-old may run again before the festival.

Apparently Ruby's Paddy Power blog suggests that this is the main target for Annie Power

One thing’s for sure – there’s no room now for any hold ups now six weeks out from the Festival.

I’m optimistic that she’ll make Cheltenham but it would be hard to see her running in the World Hurdle first time back.

But that’s why those decisions are left up to Willie (Mullins). She could work the house down next week and he’ll decide that she’s ready for a racecourse prep.

I’m just glad that I’ll be in the saddle when she’s ready to reappear.

He did say ON RACING UK Pont Alexander was back in full training - that might be an outsider to think about.

Pont Alexander cost me a flipping fortune last year, I was really confident of a good run after listening to the festival pre-amble

                                Saphir de Rheu is pricewise.

Hendo talking up Blue Fashion and talking down grade1 winners Beat That and Whisper.

Mullins not committing to much as usual. Pont Alexander would need a run beforehand. Briar hill back to drawing board. Annie more likely to run in mares.
