I've had a few quid on Irving today at 33/1. PN is aiming him at the Elite hurdle. I'm not sure what the opposition will be but if he wins that, on a course that will play to his strengths, then he'll be trading much shorter. Also, his run in the supreme was surely to bad to be true.

Irving quote from owners day - looks like he will be going the champion hurdle route.
Irving
Won his first four starts over hurdles last season but didn’t fire at the Cheltenham Festival. He was only beaten about 11 lengths but he never travelled and he came back coughing. He still wasn’t right for Aintree, so we didn’t run him there and decided to give him a nice, long holiday. It’s done him the world of good and he could start in the Elite Hurdle at Wincanton. He looks more a hurdler than a chaser.

yep.
Henderson said: "Unfortunately he's had an injury and I'm not going to get him back for Cheltenham (in March), so that's it for the season.
"We were planning to stay over hurdles with him and we were looking at the Fighting Fifth, but that isn't going to happen now.
"He's not lame, he's not sore, he's not anything really, but there is an issue there unfortunately, which is very frustrating and very boring.''

So in the last week the race appears to have lost the following, for one reason or another:
MTOY
UDS
Vautour
Annie Power is also very doubtful to be targeting this race. That leaves the top three in the betting and then it's 25/1 bar. Surely one of Tiger Roll, Irving or Vaniteux will be much shorter on the day.

Nicky Henderson’s Vaniteaux lost little in defeat off top weight in the Greatwood Hurdle – but still needs to show he’ Champion Hurdle class. The ground was very bad by Sunday and both the winner Le Garde Victoire and third Clondaw Castle were getting weight and had a race-fit advantage.

VANITEUX struggled a bit on the tacky going but produced a good effort in defeat in the Greatwood Hurdle. A good season is ahead of him.
