Not much love for him at the Previews - especially in Ireland.

I don't think he will be going off any shorter Liam, could even drift a point. I got a decent bet on @12/1 and mulitples but wouldn't be steaming in 9/2. Does rule 4 apply to NRNB races?

Who knows, he could be the top second season chaser that has improved.

On the day there will probably be more support for SS, SDG and CF in this race.

              • Loveracing i dont think Sprintre Sacre will win after coming back from injury. Sire De Grugy always got odd mistake. Only danger is Champagne Fever i reckon.

I agree, I don't think the 2 champions will win, though they will get most support along with CF because of course form. I backed DB because there was each way value and he has been the most impressive improver that has the best chance of winning. Seems a completely difference horse now.

I am not trying to steer you away from backing him because I fancy him to do the job. I just think he won't go off any shorter than 9/2.

                              • Hi fellas. Love reading the views on this site, so decided to sign up. Put an e/w acca, and two yankees on for the festival - one where I think they all have an excellent chance of winning, one where I think the likelihood of winning is lower, but the chances of a place seem high, and one which is a little bit more speculative. Would love to hear any views. Am I in with a shout, or whistling in the wind?

                                £5 E/W Acc. pays £10,985
                                1. Edeymi (Pertemps) @ 12/1
                                2. Don Cossack (Ryanair) @ 4/1
                                3. No More Heroes (Albert Bartlett) @ 8/1
                                4. Zarkandar (World Hurdle) @5/1

Not very original selections, but hate backing short-priced favourites, and these were 4 of the horses I've had the strongest gut feelings for - despite reading the preview nights on here, and seeing Zarkandar given next to no chance!

                                Yankee 1. E/W £3.30 stake - pays £1470 approx
                                1. Shaneshill (Supreme) @12/1
                                2. Windsor Park (Neptune) @ 9/1
                                3. The Druids Nephew (Festival Handicap) @ 9/1
                                4. Sire Collonges (Cross Country) @ 8/1

                                Yankee 2. E/W £1.10 stake - pays £3,321 approx.
                                1. Lord Windermere (Gold Cup) @ 12/1
                                2. Value At Risk (Albert Bartlett) @ 10/1
                                3. Rich Coast (County Hurdle) @ 16/1
                                4. Thomas Crapper (Club Novices) @ 10/1

Bit of fun. I haven't been reading enough to know if my picks are still going for their intended races, or if they've been redirected, so bear that in mind before pulling me up

Already got my main bets on Sire de Grugy, Don Poli, Don Cossack, Edeymi, Douvan, Jezki and Zarkander. The Irish better turn up this year! Got most of my bets on early this year for a change. Just be a matter of nibbling at one or two juicier priced ones during the week, while I'm sitting in the pub, off work for the week. Enjoy yourselves guys.
