Run at Punchestown Racecourse in mid November over a distance of 2 miles the Craddockstown is seen as an important trial race for the Arkle Challenge Trophy steeplechase at the Cheltenham Festival.
Sizing Europe in the 2009-10 season was the last horse to complete the Craddockstown- Arkle double. Baily Green finishede second here in 2012 and was runner up in the 2013 Arkle. The race has Grade 2 status.
The 2013 Craddockstown Novice Chase is is scheduled to take place on November 17th.
