Cheltenham Festival Top Jockeys:Bryan Marshall

Bryan Marshall  was Champion Jumps Jockey in 1947-1948 (66 wins) and won eight Cheltenham Festival Races between 1946 and 1952. His partnership with Fulke Walwyn delivered seven of those wins. He won the now redundant Cathcart Challenge Cup it was effectively replaced by the Ryanair Chase) a record four times. Here are Bryan’s Cheltenham Festival winners.

While the Cheltenham wins dried up after 1952 his most notable achievement was still to come. Bryan Marshall won back to back Aintree Grand Nationals in 1953 and 1954 on the legendary Vincent O’Brien’s Early Mist and Royal Tan – this feat has rarely been equalled.
