The Boyne Hurdle run over 3 miles at Navan racecourse has Grade 2 status and is considered one of the last Irish trials for the World Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
The most notable horses on the roll of honours are Dorans Pride,winner of the then Stayers Hurdle in 1995 ( video below) and War of Attrition ( 2006 Gold Cup winner).
Within the last decade Kazal and Golden Cross won the Boyne Hurdle and subsequently ran into a place in the World Hurdle.
