The Morgiana Hurdle is the first Grade 1 two mile hurdle of the Irish National Hunt Season. The race is run at Puncestown Racecourse in November as part of their Winter Festival. While a valuable prize in its own right it is also seen as a pointer to the Cheltenham Festival Champion Hurdle later in the season.
Willie Mullins trained his first winner in the race in 2011 with the Ruby Walsh ridden Thousand Stars.The 2012 Morgiana Hurdle took place on Sunday 18th November and was won by Hurricane Fly:
